There once was a little boy named KAVIN, who loved magic more than anything else in the world. Every day after school, he would sneak into his room, grab his small wooden stick, and pretend it was a powerful magic wand. His mother often laughed when she saw him trying to turn his pet cat into a flying dragon or his plate of spinach into chocolate cake.
One evening, Kavin sat by the window, waving his stick at the clouds. He shouted,
“Clouds, open the gate to Heaven! I want to see what’s up there!”
To his surprise, the clouds began to rumble and swirl. Before he could shout “Oops!”, the clouds turned into a giant staircase stretching up to the sky.
“Uh-oh,” Kavin whispered, but his heart raced with excitement. Without thinking, he grabbed his backpack, stuffed in a sandwich, and ran up the magical stairs.
The Gatekeeper of Heaven
When he reached the top, he found a golden gate guarded by a very serious angel named Angel Mike. He had sparkling white wings but wore spectacles that kept slipping down his nose.
“Excuse me, young man,” the angel said, frowning. “Children are not supposed to come here. Heaven is only for grown-ups who have finished their work on Earth.”
Kavin scratched his head. “But I only wanted to see what Heaven looks like. Can I please stay for a little while? I even brought a sandwich—want some?”
Angel Mike tried to look stern, but his stomach growled. He ended up sharing the sandwich with Kavin. And just like that, the gates of Heaven opened.
A Funny Welcome
Inside Heaven, Kavin couldn’t believe his eyes. Instead of angels playing harps, he saw angels playing cricket with golden bats. Clouds floated around as if they were cricket balls. Whenever someone hit too hard, the ball would burst into tiny raindrops and fall down to Earth.
“Wait a minute!” Kavin laughed. “So that’s why it suddenly rains when the sun is shining! It’s because you angels keep losing your balls!”
The angels blushed but laughed along.
Next, Kavin wandered into the Heavenly Kitchen. Here, instead of chefs, he found cloud cooks who made cotton candy clouds. If you took a bite, the cloud would grow back instantly. He ate so much that his cheeks puffed out like balloons.
One cook giggled, “Careful, boy, or you’ll float back to Earth before you finish chewing!”
Trouble in Heaven
Just when Kavin was enjoying himself, a loud voice boomed. It was Thunder Raja, the manager of the Sky. He had the job of organizing rains, lightning, and sunshine.
“Who let a child in here?” Thunder Raja roared. “This is very serious! If children start running around, they might press the wrong cloud button. Imagine Earth having snow in Saudi Arabia or bananas growing on the moon!”
Kavin, trying to look innocent, said, “I promise I won’t touch anything.”
But as soon as he said it, he accidentally leaned on a glowing button. Suddenly, the moon began flashing disco lights, and stars started dancing like they were in a Bollywood movie.
All the angels panicked. Thunder Raja shouted, “Oh no! The Galaxy is turning into a party hall!”
Kavin the Problem-Solver
Instead of running away, Kavin had an idea. “Wait, I can fix this! On Earth, when my mom’s TV remote goes crazy, she just takes out the battery and puts it back again. Why don’t we do the same with the moon?”
The angels stared at him. “Take the battery out of the moon? Does it even have one?”
Kavin ran up the moonbeam ladder and peeked inside the glowing moon. To his surprise, there really was a giant battery marked ‘Property of Heaven – Do Not Remove’. He pulled it out, shook it, and placed it back. Instantly, the disco lights stopped, and the stars sighed with relief.
Thunder Raja scratched his beard and said, “Well… maybe you’re not just a troublemaker after all. You’ve saved the galaxy!”
The Heaven-Earth Adventure
As a reward, the angels decided to let Kavin try one “Heaven Trick.” This was a magical chance to do something funny on Earth using Heaven’s powers.
Kavin thought hard. “Hmm… I want to make all boring vegetables taste like chocolate for kids, but still be healthy for parents!”
The angels clapped. And just like that, kids around the world found their spinach tasting like chocolate ice cream, broccoli like vanilla cake, and bitter gourd like candy. Parents didn’t complain because the kids were suddenly eating everything happily.
Saying Goodbye
Soon, Angel Mike told Kavin it was time to return. “You’ve seen enough for today. If you stay too long, your mom will come looking for you, and she might scold even us!”
Kavin nodded, waving goodbye to his new friends. As he stepped back on the staircase of clouds, he shouted,
“Don’t forget! If you ever need help with remotes or batteries, call me!”
The angels laughed, and even Thunder Raja smiled.
Back in his room, Kavin found his sandwich box empty and his cat staring suspiciously. Was it all a dream? He wasn’t sure. But when he took a bite of his spinach dinner that night—it tasted exactly like chocolate cake.
Moral of the Story
Sometimes children see solutions where adults see only problems.
Imagination and kindness can turn trouble into fun.
And maybe… just maybe… Heaven really does need a little mischief once in a while.
